Yu Po-chang, as the CEO of Louis Group Law Firm, has been leaving a profound mark in the field of legal exchange between Taiwan and Thailand since January 2018. His journey began with contacts with the Thailand Bar Association, which not only marked the establishment of his law firm in Thailand but also initiated a series of successful collaborations and exchanges. In 2019, Yu Po-chang established Louis Consulting Thailand in Bangkok, Thailand, to begin providing professional legal services locally. He also actively promotes legal knowledge exchange and cooperation in free legal assistance between Taiwan and Thailand. This work enables the Thailand Bar Association to effectively disseminate information to the Thai people about the free legal services available in Taiwan, enhancing the mutual assistance and support capabilities of both countries’ people when encountering legal issues.
Under the continued efforts of Lawyer Yu Po-chang, on February 23, 2024, the Taiwan National Bar Association and the Thailand Bar Association signed a memorandum of cooperation, marking a new stage in legal exchanges between Taiwan and Thailand. The signing of this memorandum is not only the result of Lawyer Yu Po-chang’s efforts over the years but also an important milestone in legal cooperation between Taiwan and Thailand. President Wichen of the Thailand Bar Association emphasized during the meeting that there will be broader prospects for cooperation in the future, allowing people from Taiwan and Thailand to receive more legal support and assistance.
